Carolina Herrera Spring/Summer 2019

Feminine with pops of colors and botanical elements, the collection was true to the spring spirit without lacking in originality. The long-laced dress worn with turquoise high boots is a good example of the type of mix Wes Gordon brought to the runway. In a variety of looks, Gordon mixed traditional prints like plaid in blushed beige and neutral tones with bold colors like Tuscan sun yellow. The same Tuscan sun was also in the wonderful high-waist and knee length skirt with long sleeve laced button shirt. Office-ready, most of the collection was a great example of how to bring the joy of spring into our style without overpowering it. With outfits also for the relaxing moments of summer, Gordon didn’t disappoint in his fresh look upon the elegance of the brand. An off-shoulder white dress with embroidered florals or his lovely long dress in yellow with big florals are an example of how Gordon successfully delivered a collection with the spring/summer in mind and kept the aura of the brand at the same time. One of the best outfits for workwear, with an impeccable playful detail, was the deep green blazer and trousers set with a botanical satin shirt with a front knot touch. Sublime!
