Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2019
Michael Kors affirms that “Women want joyous, wonderful things that make them smile.” And that’s the soul of his collection. Colorful, beachy, laidback: summers for Kors are synonymous with weekends, vacations, and everything that makes us dream about hot days during the short, chilly ones of winter. Jumping straight into summer fun, Kors has vibrant colors, loose silhouettes, fun prints, and a little inspiration from the sixties. A fun example is the green and yellow floral dress that has the basic sixties’ silhouette in a mini dress with golden details that make it faultless for wearing during an evening sipping drinks around the pool. Kors also thought about days when you need something more elegant: so, he combined white shorts and blazers with a black blouse—although the beach-like accessories transport this look to the yacht club instead of an office. The unique workwear ensemble is the knee length, printed dress in florals in green, black, and some mustard. Not formal, but a fine look for casual Friday. But the most interesting outfit was the long, white, lacey trumpet dress that can be used at numerous occasions during the summer; you’ll look stylishly on vacation but not overdressed.
