Hannibal Laguna Spring/Summer 2019

Florals, sparkles, pastels, and a variety of feminine and delicate garments made Laguna’s collection. An undoubtedly spring runway show, Laguna’s women were walking out of a botanical garden as if it’s their palace. Regal outfits that sometimes looked a little too rococo with the use of various elements, such as the lemon-colored long dress worn off-shoulder, with a sexy silhouette and adorned waist and bodice. Unfortunately, all these elements overpowered the look, creating something that would be interesting as a prom dress, but not for the modern woman. However, Laguna had some good outfits: one of the best was the color-block pink high-waisted trousers and satin blouse with sparkling details, finished with a thick silver belt. Elegant and feminine, like an ensemble that is ready-to-wear by the fairy queen that seems to have inspired Laguna. The long dress in vibrant pink with a geometric neckline and long baggy sleeves was worth copying as well. If the lemon dress was a little off, the pink flowy dress with jeweled décolletage was right from start to finish. Sophisticated, the loose movement from the non-marked waist worked with the delicate jeweled neckline to create a red-carpet dress that didn’t suffer from a lot of information. A beautiful collection with a very delimited style.
