Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2019

Female empowerment and sci-fi inspired Nicolas Ghesquiere. All of the prints had a sci-fi vibe and the silhouette was feminine with a few tailored items. The collection served women more as a way to express their womanhood rather than simply repeating menswear or exploring structured armor-like garments. An interesting example is the rocket shorts, white shirt, gray blazer, and red purse: classic and confident, but with a modern touch. Women don’t need to dress like men or as if they’re going to war to look empowered. We all need the freedom to mix and match whatever we like to better express our style and, most importantly, personality. In a more artistic style, the black wide leg trousers with printed blouse with fringe details is fun, modern, and a worth-the-copy ensemble. Another great look was the burgundy jacket with printed burgundy and blue trousers with a marked waist. Various items should go directly into our splurge list: the green leather skirt, the white coat, and, of course, all of the handbags. Rounds, clutches, and even briefcases were seen on the runway. Modern, fun, classic, feminine, and creative, Ghesquiere’s collection had not only looks to copy, but ideas to inspire us in becoming even more who we are through our presence in the world.
