Chanel Cruise 2019
Chanel's Cruise 2019 couldn't be more Chanel. Bringing the Parisien to the runway, Karl Lagerfeld presented pieces that were the signature of Chanel in its elegance. Sailor pants, quilting, tweed, pearls and white accessories, Scottish cashmeres, and camellias in a majority of black, white, and blue. Lagerfeld's muse is the Parisien wearing a beret and an oversized blazer in white tights and a winged eyeliner. Sophisticated and timeless, this style was thought of with the south of France in mind, where Chanel's summer house is located. La Pausa (the break), as the ship "anchored" at the runway announces, 2019's cruise is an ode to Chanel in its essence. Gabrielle Chanel was the first designer to explore vacation clothing, with sailor pants and dresses. But Lagerfeld added a little 80's touch to the collection, with cropped jackets, an emphasized waist, distressed jeans, and blue round-sunglasses all having their spot on the runway. As the Parisien Lagerfeld showed, Chanel is chic, young, and it's all you need for your next vacation on board.
